Covid-19 Catch-up Premium
In June 2020, the government announced £1 billion of funding to support children and young people to catch up on missed learning caused by coronavirus [Covid-19]. £650 million of this funding was allocated to schools in the 2020-21 academic year as a catch-up premium. The goal of this one-off payment was to support schools in helping pupils make up for missed learning.
Mainstream schools were allocated £80 per pupil from Reception to Year 11 inclusive. At Granby Primary School this was 419 pupils, which resulted in a catch-up premium allocation of £33,520. The document below details how our school plan to use this additional funding to help our pupils' educational recovery following the disruption caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
