This week we mixed vinegar, food colouring and baking powder. We thought that the mixture might change colour. Some people thought it might fizz!

In this experiment it fizzed, bubbled and rose up to the top. Somebody said it was like they were enemies! It was lots of fun for all of the club!
It happened because the vinegar and bicarb made a chemical reaction.

We also made ‘food-colouring fireworks’ by mixing water and oil together, then dropping food colouring on top. It was pretty to watch!
