  • Ofsted Inspection Result

    Tue 27 Jun 2023 Mr Cross

    Granby were inspected by Ofsted on 23 and 24 May, 2023.  We are delighted to announce that the outcome of this inspection confirmed that the school remains "good" in all areas.  This is a fantastic result and testament to the hard work and commitment of the school's staff and governing body.  Well done everyone!

  • School Games GOLD Award

    We are delighted to announce that Granby have achieved the School Games GOLD Award.  This recognises the school's commitment to promoting PE, sport and healthy lifestyles across the curriculum and through extra-curricular activities and is no small achievement.  Thank you and well done to our PE lead, Miss Hopps, and all those who have supported her with sport this year.  Well done Granby!

  • Regional Cross Country Championships

    Congratulations to the five Granby pupils who competed in this morning’s Cross Country Regional Finals. They all ran brilliantly and were fantastic ambassadors for the school. Special congratulations to the young person wearing a medal in his photograph. He came first in all three qualifiers earlier this year and only went and came first in today’s Regional Finals! This is a phenomenal achievement for him and for the school and we are extremely proud of both his fantastic running and his impeccable sportsmanship. He will now go on to represent Leicestershire in the National Finals later this month. Well done everyone!

  • Learning About Leicester's Black History

    Granby currently has a brilliant set of resources on loan from the Leicester Museum Service. These "forgotten histories" banners, and the information pack they come with, are providing our pupils with an opportunity to find out about four historial and modern-day Leicester residents.  It has been fascinating to learn more about our city's black history and the lives of these inspirational people.

  • Children's Individual Photographs

    Children will be having individual photographs taken on Tuesday 11th October. Please ensure that they are in the correct uniform. Children in Years 1 and 3 who have PE on this day should come to school in their normal school uniform and not PE kit.  Sibling photographs will also be taken during the school day. Photographs with younger siblings who do not currently attend Granby are possible - please come to the downstairs hall from 8am if you would like to have one taken. 

  • Cross Country

    A fantastic afternoon at cross country! We are massively proud of all the Year 4, 5 and 6 children who competed. A special well done to our 1st place and 2nd place prize winners and to all those who qualified for the next round, as well as to those who had never done anything like this in their life before and showed real grit and determination to run the whole way and not give up.
