Welcome to 2L Butterflies' Class Page!
The class teacher is Miss Lawrence and the Assistant Teacher is Miss McDonnell.
Miss Caldwell teaches us on Wednesdays.
We are looking forward to sharing our learning with you as the year progresses.
We have loved reciting familiar poems and creating our own.
We started our poetry unit off during the week of National Poetry Day, the theme was counting. We learned a poem called Maths Test and wrote our own. We then used the poetry book Yapping Away by Joshua Seigal to promote poetry further, learn poems by heart and write our own. There are a few more videos below.

Design & Technology - Can I sew a running stitch to make a pouch? First we practised how to cut cotton, thread a needle and tie a knot. Then we had a go at joining two pieces of material together using a running stitch. Finally we used our new skills to make a pouch.
Victorian day: Our school is a red brick, Victorian building. To help use learn about school in this Era, we dressed as Victorians and spent a day doing Victorian inspired lessons.
