PE & Sport Premium

What is PE and Sport Premium?

PE and Sport Premium is a government subsidy provided to state-maintained schools in England. It is intended to fund additional and sustainable improvements to the provision of PE and sport and to encourage the development of healthy, active lifestyles. Eligible schools receive an annual grant of £16,000 plus an additional payment of £10 per pupil in Years 1 to 6.


Impact of PE and Sport Premium in 2021-22

Schools who receive PE and Sport Premium are required to publish details of how this has been spent by 31st July of the academic year in which it was allocated. The document below provides details of how Granby Primary School spent the £22,965 funding it received in 2021-22 and the impact that this had on pupils' PE, physical activity and sport participation.  [NB: £3,395 of this amount was carried forward from the previous academic year following an underspend linked to the Covid-19 pandemic.]

PE and Sport Premium Allocation for 2022-23

Granby Primary School are due to receive £19,550 PE and Sport Premium funding in 2022-23. A report on the impact of this grant will be published on the school's website on or before 31st July, 2023.
