Communication Friendly Setting Status

This status is awarded to schools that have completed Elklan's "Communication Counts" training, focussing on developing interaction, asking effective questions, extending vocabulary, developing understanding and encouraging expressive language and narrative development in the Early Years.

Dyslexia Friendly Quality Mark

This award is issued to schools that have demonstrated they provide high quality education for dyslexic individuals. It is an outward sign of a school's commitment to embracing and supporting neurodiversity.

ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant)

This accreditation is given to schools with ELSAs (Emotional Literacy Support Assistants).  ELSAs have had special training from Educational Psychologists to support the emotional development of children and young people in school.

Eco-Schools Green Flag Award

This award recognises the hard work and commitment of young people in engaging with environmental issues. It tells local communities that a school is forward-thinking and actively engaged in protecting our planet.

Happy Lunchtimes Award

This award is given to schools that have successfully transformed lunchtimes by introducing a targeted system of ever-changing, creative play ideas and a focus on positive relationships and behaviour management.

Healthy Schools Award

This award recognises a school's achievements in supporting their pupils' Personal, Social, Health and Economic education; Healthy Eating; Physical Activity and Social, Emotional and Mental Health.

Ofsted: Good Provider

This status is awarded to schools who Ofsted consider are providing a "good" quality of education for their pupils. Granby first achieved this in February 2013 and had it reconfirmed in October 2017 and May 2023.

Route to Resilience Accreditation

This accreditation is given to schools who demonstrate an evidence-based and practical approach to supporting children and their families to develop emotional wellbeing and resilience. 

School Games Mark

This award recognises a school's commitment to the development of competition across the school and within the wider community. Granby successfully achieved gold status in Summer 2023: a fantastic achievement!
